Industrial Rope Access

Industrial rope access is a proven method of achieving safe work positioning in difficult to access areas. Initially developed from caving techniques designed to create simple, safe and adaptable means of access, its first large-scale use occurred during inspections on oil and gas platforms in the North Sea. As its value as a work solution has grown, industrial rope access services are now being utilized within both offshore and onshore environments.

As a means of inspecting hard to access rig and platform areas, industrial rope access presents a number of significant advantages over the traditional use of scaffolding or cranes, particularly in terms of cost and time savings, and adaptability of use.

In response to these factors, AMOSCO has established a dedicated industrial rope access services team comprising of Industrial Rope Access Trade Association (IRATA) Level 3 and IRATA Level 2 Certified Inspectors.

Our team is currently one of the most well qualified and proficient in Africa, providing services to clients which include:

  • Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)
  • Derrick Inspection
  • Drop Surveys
  • Visual Inspection
  • Maintenance and Repair Work
  • Surface Preparation and Painting
  • High Pressure Washing and Cleaning

Detailed risk and method assessments are conducted before the pursuit of any industrial rope access assignment or task, in order to ensure the efficiency, effectiveness, and safety of our work.
